Very sweet, flavorful, productive, and easy to grow, this small, red wild-type tomato will reward you with plenty of delicious snacking jewels…
55 days. Open pollinated. Indeterminate. Our Organic Heirloom Matt’s Wild Cherry Tomato Plant is from Hidalgo, Mexico, where it grows wild. Sprawling plants produce hundreds of 1/2″ bright red morsels bursting with an outstanding sweet and rich flavor. Plants are early, tolerant of cool and wet weather, and show some resistance to both early and late blight. Thin skin that does, unfortunately, crack easily, so keep the plant picked. These plants will get huge and loaded with fruit. We hack them back when they get too crazy, and it hardly slows them down! One really cool thing about this tomato is that all the fruits on each branch ripen at the same time. So, you can harvest the entire branch for a beautiful presentation.
We ship every Monday and Tuesday, from late March through late May, to the 48 contiguous states. We schedule your shipment to arrive just after the last frost date for your area. We will send an email from our farm (firstname.lastname@example.org) within 24 hours of receiving your order informing you of your shipping date. You are welcome to change the shipping date. Just let us know when you want them.
Our plants are sustainably raised in our own potting mix. We use only organic fertilizers and sprays if needed. We have been growing and selling plants since 1997.
Our plants are shipped in individual 3″ deep pots. They are ready to be planted out in your garden.
We package our plants with extreme care so they arrive undamaged at your doorstep. Each plant is tucked into its own padded sleeve. The soil in each pot is covered so it will not spill out. A plant tag identifying the variety is included with each plant.
