Hardy Perennial in zones 6 – 9. Lavendula stoechas. Masses of lavender-rose flowers with purple flags on a compact mound of fragrant, silver-green foliage. Rebloomer. Flowers late spring and early summer. Grows 14″ – 18″ high and 12″ – 14″ wide, suitable for containers. A gorgeous Spanish lavender that is drought, heat, and humidity tolerant (once established). Good in beds and borders and containers. Flowers can be used fresh and dried, and attract butterflies. Will re-bloom if deadheaded. Lavenders require well drained soil, and need to dry out between waterings. Cut back to 6″ in fall to keep plant attractive and blooming well the following year.
