Seed was given to us by our mailman in the Ozarks, Mark Barton. He had been preserving this variety for years. He was given the seed by Joe Cockman, who had grown the variety here in the Ozarks for many years after receiving seeds from Dan Turner, who used to sell the tomatoes at the Farmer's Market here in Alton, Missouri over 70 years ago. No one now knows what the original name was, so we call it "Joe's Pink Oxheart."
